Pitch Count
We all know that 100 is about the max for Curt Schilling, but what about your little ace? To help prevent Little League Elbow, follow the following guidelines: Children should not pitch more than twice a week and should allow two days rest between outings. Pitchers should not pitch curve balls or other kinds of breaking pitches until they are 14 years old and shaving.
Recommendations for pitches per game:
8-10 yrs: 50-60 pitches
11-12 yrs: 65-70 pitches
13-14 yrs: 70-80 pitches
15-16 yrs: 80-85 pitches
17-18 yrs: 100-110 pitches
